Yes, that is true “Sun rise in the east”.

Last weekend was very long in UAE. We got off on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So we (friends) thought to make most of it and decided to visit Fujairah (one of the seven emirates in UAE and locates to Far East) and camp there for one night. .

Fujairah is the only Emirate of the UAE that is almost totally mountainous. All the other Emirates, like Dubai and Abu Dhabi are located on the west coast, and are largely covered by desert. Consequently, Fujairah boasts a higher than average yearly rainfall of the UAE, allowing farmers in the region to produce one crop every year”(Source: Wikipedia)

We packed everything (tents, water, mouthwash, blankets, pillows, etc.)and checked everything in internet (routes, restaurants), but missed one thing…to check (@#$!%#$@#)*.

So, on Friday evening we all reached in Fujairah, enjoyed in the beach till sundown. At night, we found a silent place to camp and set up the tent and decided to sleep, I also set my alarm at 5:00AM to see the sunrise up before i go sleep.

As soon as we lay down, we realized that we missed to check the most important factor before we set off…. THE WEATHER*.

The temperature was nearly 45-47 C with mild breeze. Believe me or not, it was like, we locked up in a microwave. Later, after a long struggle to sleep, which went in vain, ladies and kids moved to car and switched on AC. We (me and my friend) slept in the microwave sorry tent without any other options.

Since the temperature did not drop any degree throughout the night, we were able to wake up before the alarm goes off. I took the camera went out of the tent and waited for sunrise. When the sun rises at last, I realized the microwave sleep was well paid off. It was one of the most beautiful scene which I ever seen. I started clicking camera and couldn’t stop. So, I decided to share one of the photos which I took, for this week’s Sky watch Friday.

  1. Wow! Those are incredibly hot temperatures, though it didn’t seem to deter your sleep. I find waking early is a side effect of camping too. Good thing you did so you could capture this lovely sunrise!

  2. dude, the beauty of this pic pays off the efforts & pain we took, am sure it is one of the best sunrise we can get on camping sea side. Its all about the feel of enjoying it. Hope you enjoyed very well.
